# Server Location

#### What is Server Location?

The server location is used for determining where newly created nests are located in the world. The servers city, state, and country PLUS the name of the nest is used to automatically generate Google directions. This makes creating nests in accurate locations much faster.

{% endhint %}

**(Optional)** If you live outside the United States, be sure to also set your country. If you live inside the US, you can skip `country` as PokeCloud automatically sets new servers to the US.

| Command                  | Alias    | Example          |
| ------------------------ | -------- | ---------------- |
| $set-city \<city name>   | $city    | $city atlanta    |
| $set-state \<state name> | $state   | $state georgia   |
| $set-country \<country>  | $country | $country germany |

When entering a city, state or country, be sure to use the whole name and not abbreviations. This could affect nests from appearing correctly in search results.
